Intelligent Investing: The Retirement Savings Drain: Hidden ...

I normally write something I feel can help most investors. Occasionally you run across something that just needs to be shared. This eye opening?new report from the Demos Organization, authored by Robert Hiltonsmith, is compelling. Highlights below, link to the report at the end.

Though your retirement or bank accounts statements contain no evidence of it, everyone who has an IRA, 401k, or any other individual retirement savings account pays a variety of fees every year. But because these fees are taken ?off the top? of investment returns or share prices accountholders generally have no idea how much all of this is costing them.
These fees can be substantial: over a lifetime, fees can cost a median-income two-earner family nearly $155,000 and consume nearly one-third of their investment returns. Worse, these fees are often excessive and financial services companies can get away with charging higher-than-necessary fees for a number of reasons, namely: the savers? lack of information, the inefficiency of financial markets and individualized investing, and the substantial costs?both in money and time?associated with switching between investment brokers.
This brief sheds light on the hidden costs of 401(k)-type individual retirement plans, details the different types of fees paid by the consumers, and uses an example investment from Demos? own 401(k) plan to illustrate these fees? heavy burden on the average account-holder. Using industry data on fees, the brief estimates the high costs of 401(k) fees to a model family over a lifetime of saving for retirement. The brief also explains the causes of the nearly universal excessive fees that investment firms charge to savers, and argues for a wholesale reform of this country?s broken private retirement system.

KEY FACTS

LIFETIME FEES

  • According to our fee model, a two-earner household, where each partner earns the median income for their gender each year over their working lifetime, will pay an average of $154,794 in 401(k) fees and lost returns.
  • A higher-income dual-earner household, one where each partner earns an income greater than three-quarters of Americans each year can expect to pay an even steeper price: (as much as) $277,969.

OTHER FEE FACTS

  • The median expense ratio of mutual funds in 401(k) plans was 1.27 percent in 2010.
  • Trading costs vary from year to year, but have been estimated to average approximately 1.2 percent a year as well.
  • In the long run, the average mutual fund earns a 7 percent return, before fees, matching the average return of the overall stock market. However, the post-fee returns average only 4.5 percent, meaning that, on average, fees eat up over a third of the total returns earned by mutual funds.
  • Smaller 401(k) plans have higher average fees than larger ones. The median expense ratio for plans with less than 100 participants was 1.29 percent, while for plans with more than 10,000 participants, it was 0.43 percent.

TYPES OF 401(k) or IRA FEES

  • Expense Ratio Fees: This ratio incorporates the administrative, investment management, and marketing fees charged to savers. Because these fees do not vary much from year to year, they are reported as a static expense ratio and listed both in a retirement plan?s summary documents and the individual prospectuses of each mutual fund in the plan.
  • Trading Fees: The costs incurred by a mutual fund when buying and selling the securities (bonds, stocks, etc.) that comprise the fund?s underlying assets. Investment managers of mutual funds pay a fee each time they buy or sell one of the securities that comprise the underlying assets of the fund, and they pass these on to savers via the funds? share prices. Trading fees vary from year to year depending on the frequency with which fund managers buy and sell the funds? assets.

Press Release: TV and Appliance Wholesaling in the US Industry ...

Appliance and home electronics wholesalers took a hit when disposable incomes dropped during the recession, but the economic recovery will usher in a period of growth as consumer sentiment recovers and Americans resume spending on big-ticket items like appliances and home entertainment products. Helping drive the industry?s rebound will be the green movement. As consumers become more environmentally conscious and as the government continues to offer rebates to buyers of energy-efficient appliances, wholesalers will experience increased demand for these products from retailers. For these reasons, industry research firm IBISWorld has added a report on the TV and Appliance Wholesaling industry to its growing industry report collection.

Declining household wealth, rising unemployment rates and unclear economic conditions resulted in low disposable income levels in the five years to 2012. ?With less discretionary spending money available, American consumers cut back on their purchases of big-ticket items,? says IBISWorld analyst Eben Jose, including consumer electronics (e.g. TVs and stereos) and home appliances (e.g. washers and dryers). Retailers subsequently experienced revenue declines, which caused them to either close down operations or reduce their inventory levels. As a result, the TV and Appliance Wholesaling industry?s revenue suffered from falling downstream demand. To this end, revenue is expected to decrease at an annualized rate of 2.6% to .0 billion over the five years to 2012. Despite this downward trend across the five-year period, demand conditions recovered with improvements in the economy in 2010 and 2011, and revenue rose 0.6% and 1.7%, respectively, over those years.

In addition to weakened downstream demand, wholesale bypass further decreased TV and Appliance Wholesaling industry revenue. In the past five years, large consumer electronics and home appliance retailers have become more willing to purchase directly from manufacturers and omit the wholesale intermediary. This practice allows stores to take advantage of lower prices. ?Eliminating the middleman significantly reduced the number of supply contracts available to wholesalers and reduced industry profitability,? says Jose. Falling profit margins have forced some wholesale operators to exit the industry. As a result, the number of enterprises is expected to fall from 2,323 firms in 2007 to an estimated 1,993 in 2012. The majority of the businesses in the industry are privately owned and have been successfully supplying the local retail demand in their communities. As such, IBISWorld projects that the industry?s market concentration will remain low through 2017.

Led by growing downstream demand, the wholesaling industry is forecast to experience growth in the five years to 2017. Improving consumer sentiment and household disposable income levels will encourage consumers to spend on electronics and appliances. In addition, technological developments, especially in regards to TVs, will likely encourage consumers to update older appliances, which will support demand as retailers turn to wholesalers to replenish their inventories. Scents and Senescence: "Old Person Smell" Is Real, but Not Necessarily Offensive

News | Mind & Brain

A new study confirms that people, like many animals, easily recognize a unique?but not unpleasant?eau de elderly

EAU DE ELDERLY: There may be some biological truth to the popular notion of 'old person smell,' but the elderly do not necessarily smell more unpleasant than anyone else. Image: Portrait of a Elderly Lady, Mary Casatt (Wikimedia Commons)

In this groundbreaking adventure into the worlds of psychopaths, the renowned psychologist Kevin Dutton argues that there is a fine line between a brilliant...

Wait a minute. There's something unusual about the subway seat you just claimed. It's awfully warm, and a peculiar odor seems to hover in the air nearby?a stale, musty odor tinged with something as acrid as mothballs. You know this aroma: it's "old person smell."

Anecdotally, the unique scent of the elderly lingers wherever they live and in any confined spaces they have recently occupied, such as taxis and elevators. Many different cultures have recognized the phenomenon?the Japanese even have a word for it, kareishuu?but the biological truth of old person smell remains uncertain. In a new study, blindfolded volunteers reliably recognized the aroma of the elderly by sniffing sweat-soaked armpit pads, although they had a much harder time correctly matching pads to the young and middle-aged, and they were not able to make fine distinctions about age based on scent alone. Contrary to the popular notion that old person smell is disagreeable, volunteers in the new study rated the odors of the elderly as much less unpleasant and intense than those of the middle-aged and young. Combined with earlier research, the new findings suggest that people retain a latent ability to gauge someone's age based on their odor, a talent inherited from evolutionary ancestors that might be linked to the ways animals recognize the sick and dying.

Researchers have shown that the body odors of some animals?including mice, black-tailed deer, otters, owls and rabbits?change with age and that animals can distinguish their young and old peers by smell. In other studies, investigators discovered that people, too, can tell the difference between old and young otters and rabbits by using scent cues.

Human body odor also changes with age, depending largely on the activity of various skin glands and how the substances they release interact with bacteria. The sebaceous glands, which secrete a waxy substance called sebum to lubricate and waterproof the skin, are particularly active during puberty and throughout most of adulthood. Likewise, apocrine sweat glands?which are only located in a few places, such as the armpits and genital region?rev up during puberty. Eccrine sweat glands, found all over the human body, exude a clear, odorless, salty liquid throughout life. All these fluids begin to stink when bacteria break down the various chemicals they contain?especially steroids and lipids?into smaller, odorous molecules that easily waft into the air. The more sweat on the skin, the more chemicals for the bacteria to break down, and the stronger the body odor.

Johan Lundstr?m of the Monell Chemical Senses Center studies human and animal body odors and how the brain responds to smells. Every now and then, he gives scientific talks at an elderly care center in the greater Philadelphia area that?he realized one day?smells almost exactly like the nursing home his mother managed in Sweden when he was young. Perhaps the smell really did emanate from the residents. Knowing about earlier research on animal body odors and age, Lundstr?m decided to test whether smell also informs how people evaluate age.

In their new study, Lundstr?m and his colleagues sewed absorbent nursing pads into the armpits of T-shirts and asked volunteers of different ages to sleep in the shirts for five consecutive nights. The researchers divided the 44 volunteers into three groups: eight women and eight men between the ages of 20 and 30 (the young); the same number of men and women between 45 and 55 (middle-aged); and six women and six men between 75 and 95 (elderly). During the day, the volunteers stored the T-shirts in sealed plastic bags; avoided spicy foods, cigarettes and alcohol; and showered with odorless shampoo and soap.

After the fifth night, Lundstr?m and his team collected and carefully quartered the sweaty nursing pads, placing four segments from each age group in different glass jars in preparation for a smell test. A different group of 41 young men and women volunteered their noses, taking a big whiff of the air at the top of a jar while blindfolded and rating both the intensity and pleasantness of the odor. Sometimes volunteers had to choose which of two odors most likely came from the older volunteer. Other times the volunteers had to label different jars "young," "middle-age" or "old-age."

Contrary to common complaints about "old people smell," the volunteers' blind ratings revealed that they found elderly people's odors both less intense and less unpleasant than odors from young and middle-aged people. Middle-aged man musk took top prize for intensity and unpleasantness, whereas volunteers rated the odors of middle-aged women most pleasant and whiffs of old man as least intense.

Not only did volunteers in Lundstr?m's new study rate the scent of the elderly as less offensive than any other, they also had the easiest time singling out old person smell from a selection of odors. When the volunteers compared two jars containing pads from different age groups, they reliably recognized that the odors were different, but they were not particularly adept at deciding which scent came from the older person. When volunteers attempted to label several different jars by age group, they also often failed to correctly identify odors from the young and middle-aged?but they were much more successful at picking out the jars containing pads soaked in elderly sweat. Old people smell was often instantly recognizable. The findings appear May 30 in PLoS ONE.

Together, the evidence indicates that people recognize a characteristic "old people smell" not because of the aroma's intensity or offensiveness, but because of its uniqueness compared to the body odors of younger people. "I think it's true that old people smell a certain way," Lundstr?m says, "but the idea that the smell is negative may largely be social stigma." An earlier study found that, compared with people aged 25 to 40, people over age 40 have higher levels of a fragrant organic compound known as 2-nonenal in their sweat and on their skin. The chemical, which the researchers described as having an "unpleasant grassy and greasy odor," might be "a major cause of the deterioration in body odor that has been observed with aging"?in other words, the biological explanation for why older people have a characteristic odor. But the compound has also been linked to the scent of cucumbers and aged beer, which are not distasteful to most people; others have compared old people smell to old book smell, which most people find benign at worst and enjoyable at best.

Compared with many other animals, humans have a lousy sense of smell. Determining exactly how people change their behavior based on one another's scents?or possibly pheromones?has frustrated and challenged scientists. Still, some evidence suggests that subtle chemical communication, much of it subconscious, helps people recognize family, changes women's reproductive cycles and makes it easier to empathize with others. As for the advantage of recognizing age by odor, "It might be a way to distinguish the sick from the healthy?not overt sickness, but underlying cell decay," Lundstr?m says. "The older we get, the more natural decay we have. But no one really knows why animals or people have this ability."

Miami Real Estate takes Summer Vacation as more homes flooding ...

Miami real estate is on summer vacation, as more houses flood the market in July this year. Prices fell, and contrary to popular opinion of some sellers, they will not again climb anywhere anytime soon.

Most affected is the housing market, with homes increasingly selling in the market each month, rather than sell. You had many buyers who have invested in the pre-construction projects, either to close or not to buy condos them, or to incur losses in order to remain solvent. Most investors have long abandoned the fantasy of buying up condos and flipping them for a quick profit. Those days are over, and unlikely to return for some time. All this is not a bad thing, but because a correction was necessary, although some real estate experts thought that as recently. Real Estate in Miami still has some of the most desirable real estate in the world, and buying a property in Miami is now a good idea if you live to buy a house or condominium, or if you are looking for long term investments. Buyer in the Miami area are in the best position they have been for many years to buy real estate at reasonable prices, thus offering significantly lower prices demanded, and then to enter into real estate, they would To never buy a position of having only a few years ago. To see how things have changed, just look at the statistics. According to Coral Gables, Homestead South Dade, Kendall-Perrine, and Northwestern Association of Realtors or their MLS. delivered in March 2006, there were 7,703 single family homes for sale in Dade County, used, sold the other in Miami, and 1116 houses. The latest statistics available. In May 2007, 13,403 Dade County single family homes for sale, and sold 612 houses. The housing market was similar. announced in March last year, 14,761 Dade Condos for sale, and sold in 1371. In May this year there were sold 24,417 condominiums or townhouses for sale in Dade, with only 785 houses. Foreclosures in Miami-Dade County are high, with 987 residential sales in the first quarter of this year. , which translates to 127 seizures per 1000 households. The good news is that the Miami real estate is more affordable, and with the dollar so low against the euro and other currencies, foreigners who flock to Miami for the holidays, is still two houses and condominiums, a long-term investment. The Faster-Than-Light Telegraph That Wasn't

Web Exclusives | More Science

In 1981 physicist Nick Herbert leveraged strange features of quantum mechanics to design a superluminal communication system. The quest to uncover its subtle flaw led to a profound new understanding of the quantum world

Herbert's FLASH system?the acronym stood for "first laser-amplified superluminal hookup"?employed a source that emitted pairs of photons in opposite directions. The scheme focused on photons' polarization?that is, the directions along which their associated electric fields oscillated. The photons could be plane-polarized, with the electric fields oscillating either horizontally (H) or vertically (V). Or the photons could be circularly polarized, with the electric fields tracing out helical patterns in either a right-handed (R) or left-handed (L) orientation.

Physicists had long known that the two flavors of polarization?plane or circular?were intimately related. Plane-polarized light could be used to create circularly polarized light, and vice versa. For example, a beam of H-polarized light consisted of equal parts R- and L-polarized light, in a particular combination, just as a beam of R-polarized light could be broken down into equal parts H and V. Likewise for individual photons: a photon in state R, for example, could be represented as a special combination of states H and V. If one prepared a photon in state R but chose to measure plane rather than circular polarization, one would have an equal probability of finding H or V: a single-particle version of Schr?dinger?s cat.

In Herbert's imagined set-up, one physicist, Alice ("Detector A" in the illustration), could choose to measure either plane or circular polarization of the photon headed her way [1]. If she chose to measure plane polarization, she would measure H and V outcomes with equal probability. If she chose to measure circular polarization, she would find R and L outcomes with equal probability.

In addition, Alice knows that because of the nature of the source of photons, each photon she measures has an entangled twin moving toward her partner, Bob. Quantum entanglement means that the two photons behave like two sides of a coin: if one is measured to be in state R, then the other must be in state L; or if one is measured in state H, the other must be in state V. The kicker, according to Bell's theorem, is that Alice's choice of which type of polarization to measure (plane or circular) should instantly affect the other photon, streaming toward Bob [2]. If she chose to measure plane polarization and happened to get the result H, then the entangled photon heading toward Bob would enter the state V instantaneously. If she had chosen instead to measure circular polarization and found the result R, then the entangled photon instantly would have entered the state L.

Next came Herbert's special twist. Before the second photon made its way to Bob's detectors, it entered a laser gain tube [3]. Lasers had been around for 20 years by that time, and as the leading textbooks routinely touted, the output from a laser had the same polarization as the input signal. That suggested that the laser should release a burst of photons in the complementary state to whatever Alice had found at her side. Bob could then split the beam [4], sending half toward a detector to measure plane polarization [5] and half toward a detector to measure circular polarization [6].

If Alice chose to measure circular polarization and happened to find L, then the entangled photon heading toward Bob would instantly go into the state R prior to entering the laser gain tube. Out of the laser would burst a stream of R photons heading toward Bob. He could then send half the beam toward a detector to measure plane polarization and half toward a detector to measure circular polarization. In this case, Herbert concluded, Bob would find half the photons in state R, none in state L, and a quarter each in states H and V. In an instant, Bob would know that Alice had chosen to measure circular polarization. Alice's choice?plane or circular polarization?would function like the dots and dashes of Morse code. She could signal Bob simply by alternating her choice of what type of polarization to measure. Bob could decode each bit of Alice?s code faster than light could have traveled between them.

As GianCarlo Ghirardi, Tullio Weber, Wojciech Zurek, Bill Wootters and Dennis Dieks each clarified, Herbert?s device would not actually allow superluminal signaling. A photon in state R, for example, would exist as a combination of equal parts H and V. Each of those underlying states would be amplified by the laser. Hence the output would be a superposition of two states: one in which all the photons were in state H, and the other in which all the photons were in state V, each with a probability of 50 percent. Bob would never find half in H and half in V at the same time, just as physicists would never find Schr?dinger's cat to be both half-dead and half-alive upon opening the box. Thus, Bob would receive only noise no matter what setting Alice had chosen on her end. Moment by moment, Bob's detectors would flash H with R or V with L or H with L and so on, in random combinations. He would never find H and V with R, and hence he would have no way to determine what Alice had been trying to tell him. Quantum entanglement and relativity could coexist after all.

This discovery became known as the "no-cloning theorem": a powerful statement about the ultimate foundations of quantum theory. An arbitrary or unknown quantum state cannot be copied without disturbing the original state. No one had ever recognized that fundamental feature of quantum theory before the cat-and-mouse game had unfolded between Nick Herbert's thought experiment and his talented detractors. The fact that quantum theory sets an ultimate limit on the ability of anyone?including a potential eavesdropper?to seize individual quantum particles and make copies of them soon became the bedrock for quantum encryption, and today is at the heart of the flourishing field of quantum information science.

A Sort of President Awaits Egypt

CAIRO, May 26, 2012 (IPS) - Candidates competing in Egypt's first presidential election since Hosni Mubarak was ousted are vying for a prestigious position whose job description ? oddly enough ? has not yet been written. An unresolved dispute over who will write a new constitution for post-Mubarak Egypt has put the country in the unusual position of voting for a president with undefined authority.

"We still don?t know what responsibilities and powers the president will have," says Negad El-Borai, a rights lawyer and democracy activist. "(Rival parties) want to see how the election turns out before deciding on a constitution that will define the president?s role."

The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) suspended Egypt?s last constitution after Mubarak was toppled during a popular uprising in February 2011. A constitutional declaration passed by a national referendum the following month was intended to serve as a stop-gap measure until a new charter could be written.

The declaration tasked Egypt?s elected parliament with forming a 100-member constituent assembly to draft a new constitution ahead of presidential elections. However, problems arose after the Islamist- dominated parliament stacked the assembly with conservatives, prompting many secular and liberal assembly members to pull out in protest.

In April, an administrative court suspended the constituent assembly on the grounds that the new body was unrepresentative of the public at large.

"The assembly was supposed to represent all segments of society," explains political science professor Mostafa Kamel El-Sayed, a former assembly member. "Instead it became weighed down with Islamists, who would have dominated the discourse at the exclusion of others."

In the absence of a new constitution, Egypt's next president will begin his tenure without any legal document to adequately define his authorities and responsibilities. Commentators warn that the situation could spark a power struggle between the predominantly Islamist parliament and the ruling military council ? with each side trying to carve out executive authorities.

"A president without a constitution is like a marriage without a contract," Mohamed Hassanein Heikal remarked during an interview to Al-Hayat satellite channel.

The veteran journalist argued that Egypt?s elections are pointless and illegitimate without a national charter to specify the president?s powers.

According to legal experts, the March 2011 constitutional declaration grants the SCAF executive authorities ? including the right to declare war ? until a new constitution is written. The would-be president is entitled to appoint or dismiss cabinet ministers, but does not have the right to ratify state policy or the state budget, or to introduce legislation. Those authorities lie with the parliament.

One of the main sources of contention among legislators is whether authority in Egypt should be centred on the parliament or the president. The last constitution, written in 1971 and amended over the decades, increasingly concentrated power in the presidency.

"Nobody wants another pharaoh," says 27-year-old Mohamed Mohieddin, who stood against Mubarak?s security forces during last year?s uprising. "We hope that the next constitution will have checks and balances to prevent Egypt from turning into another dictatorship."

Not surprisingly, Islamists, who hold about 70 percent of the parliament's seats, favour a parliamentary system in which most authority rests with the legislature, and the role of the president is largely ceremonial. Secular and liberal party leaders ? hoping to counterbalance the Islamist influence in politics ? have called for a presidential system, albeit with limits to executive power.

Both groups appear to be moving toward a consensus on a semi-presidential system like that of France, where a strong president is balanced by an empowered parliament. One proposal is that the president would be responsible for foreign affairs, while the parliament-appointed prime minister would handle domestic policy.

Another important debate is over the authority and privileges the new constitution will assign to the military, which has resisted calls for civilian oversight. Activists accuse the ruling generals of attempting to interfere in the constitution-writing process or impose binding legislation that would enshrine the privileges the military has enjoyed for over 60 years.

Concerns that the SCAF would find a way to dilute parliamentary powers appear to have motivated the Muslim Brotherhood, the country?s largest and oldest Islamic group, to field its own presidential candidate despite its promise to stay out of the race. The disqualification of their first candidate, prominent leader Khairat El-Shater, on the basis of an earlier political conviction during the Mubarak era, reinforced their suspicions that laws were being interpreted to serve a political end.

Similarly, fears that an Islamist might win the presidency may have prompted the generals to tacitly back the campaign of Ahmed Shafiq. The former air force commander, who served as Mubarak?s last prime minister, experienced an unexpected surge in popularity just days before the polls opened.

Opponents claim the presidential election committee ? headed by a former military judge ? has ignored allegations of illegal campaign spending and voter registration fraud. It has also overruled court rulings that disqualified Shafiq and other "feloul" (remnants of the old regime) from the presidential race.

Analysts say the showdown between the SCAF and the Muslim Brotherhood could ultimately determine who will write the constitution and what authority Egypt?s next president will wield.

"If Shafiq wins, expect the president to be granted broad powers, including the right to dissolve the parliament," says El-Borai, the rights lawyer.

The Muslim Brotherhood has also sought leverage. Earlier this month, parliamentary speaker Saad El- Katatni, secretary-general of the group?s political arm, announced that the committee charged with forming the constituent assembly would only resume on May 26, two days after the first presidential poll.

"The Muslim Brotherhood wants to wait and see the result of the presidential election before writing the constitution," argues El-Borai. "If their candidate wins, they will become the most important political power in Egypt and can negotiate with the SCAF from a position of power."

Preliminary results from the May 23-24 poll show Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohamed El-Morsy and presumed SCAF candidate Ahmed Shafiq received the most votes. The two candidates are expected to compete in a highly-polarised run-off next month, with the winner to be announced by Jun. 21.

The SCAF has promised to turn Egypt over to civilian rule by Jul. 1. Yet it could take months to draw up a constitution and put it before a popular referendum. Until then, the elected president could find himself at the centre of a political maelstrom. (END)

Develop Debt Relief Plan For Credit Card Debt | Eric Finance

Develop Debt Relief Plan For Credit Card DebtIs credit card debt causing too much of stress? If answered yes, it?s high time you take immediate action so that you don?t start adding on to the consumer credit card debt in the US that is taking an emotional and financial toll on the lives of the Americans.

No matter how much or how little you owe, you should take steps to repay the amount so that you don?t accumulate the interest rates and the principal amount. This is a job that should not be procrastinated as delaying will lead to a further mess. If you want to seek debt relief, what are the steps that you should take on your own so that you don?t have to get help from the professionals? If you aren?t aware of them, here are some steps that you can take.

Make a list of exactly what you owe: Though it may become painful to see how much money you owe on your credit cards, but still you shouldn?t skip this step. Unless you know the exact amount that you have to repay the lenders, how can you plan your finances and take steps to repay the amount to them? Take a pen and paper and jot down the principal amounts, the interest rates and the due dates on which you have to repay the amount.

Live a frugal life: You should lead a frugal life so that you have enough funds to make ends meet. Try and distinguish between the needs and the wants so that you can simply devote your dollars on the things that are necessary, postponing the things that you can do without. Lead a life within your means so that you don?t have to scrimp in the long run.

Negotiate with your creditors: The next job will be to negotiate with your creditors in order to tell them about your financial hardship that is keeping you from making timely repayments. As they understand your worries, they will lower the interest rates and the monthly payments so that you can repay the account in small and affordable monthly payments. Keep calling them every 30 days so that they?re bound to help you get back on the right track.

Start making the payments: Demonstrate a budget so that the creditors know that you have the urge to make payments once they reduce and revise the monthly payment structure. Soon as they revise the monthly payments, you should be able to start making the monthly payments so that you can get out of debt as fast as possible.

Therefore, when you?re wondering about the ways in which you can seek debt relief on your own, you may follow the steps mentioned above to close the doors on credit card debt. Negotiate with your creditors on your own and save money on the professional service fees that you will be charged for services that you can do on your own.

Factors Of Consideration In Buying Seat Belts For Dogs | News ...

2950191255 5b59c282a5 Factors Of Consideration In Buying Seat Belts For Dogs

Those people who have pets especially dogs, taking a road trip involves safety precautions such as ensuring seat belts for dogs. It is a challenge in itself to take care of a life that is so dependent. Of course nature has its own ways of nurturing but some added responsibility falls on the shoulders of the pet owner or the family that owns the pet. Amongst all of the various challenges that are part and parcel of nurturing and fostering a pet, more specifically a dog, teaching him/ her road etiquette is one of the most important ones.

Not only should these dogs be trained in the course of wearing seat belts but with careful consideration, it should be entrenched in their minds that the alternative case of abandoning these elements of safety can be detrimental for them. This holds true not only for their own safety but also for the safety and security for the rest of the vehicle occupants. As it is, this prevents them from running all around the car and then become a cause of injury or suffer injury themselves. Though people might admire the adorable sight of pets hanging their heads outside the car (it is indeed a cute sight) but it is not at all a feasible setting with respect to security. There are a lot of things that need to be considered here.

Exposure of the dog to the pollution in the air increases as he/ she hangs their head outside, which can result in sickness or any other problem. Then there is the peril of knocking off into something that can have severe repercussions. Hence it is quite essential to make sure that the pet (dogs in this case) is traveling with a seat belt around them. Some dogs have a habit of seeking attention from their owner whilst they are driving. This can be very dangerous for both of them as it blocks the vision and tends to divide the attention.

Nevertheless all of these points of precaution do not mean that one abandons the comfort level of their dogs. It is imperative that the seat belt that is being selected not only proves to be a snug fit but it also does not contribute towards pinching or other irritating experiences for the innocent creature. All in all, in the course of buying seat belts for dogs, not only the safety precautions should be given importance but also the comfort of the dog should be kept in focus, the blend of these two factors resulting in an informed decision.
