GoErie.com Blogs: Her Times - Tree houses a family could live in

On CBS Sunday Morning, a story on tree houses?shows us those ramshackle retreats where we lived it up, up in the air, that is, isn?t just for kids anymore. ?Watch the show here. It features?Trillium, a tree house bed and breakfast along with tree house architect Roderick Romero who designed them for Sting in Italy. Pavorotti. Julianne Moore and Val Kilmer.

The above images are from the Treehouse Guys, artists formally known as Forever Young Treehouses. The?partnership includes Chris ?Ka-V? Haake and James ?B?fer? Roth ? the 2011 recipients of?Paralyzed Veterans of America?s Barrier-Free America Award. They build really cool and accessible tree houses for private and public parks and more.

The trend seems to be doing quite well.?Here?s another tree house in Minnesota and a few more from an old 2009 CBS clip that includes family homes, offices and more.?And there are some very contemporary and funky homes here.
